WebGurl Finds....
As I work with the web I always come across useful, silly or just plain stupid websites - I will start to add these little gems from the web as I come across them.
Here are a couple of standards:
When you find yourself the receipient of a forwarded email that exclaims some company is involved or has been bad (name any company, Starbucks, Sears, etc.) or a horrible virus is going to attack at any minute, you know the urban legends....Before you forward this on, check it out here:
Snopes.com (Urban Legends & Myths) This is fun reading with a 'What's Hot' that identifies the current 'urgent' emails you receive as fakes.
Another fun site, especially when you find humor in people's stupidity - The Smoking Gun can provide a wealth of entertainment. A site highlight, the mug shot mania is fun to browse.
